The Scandic Design Guide enables our hotel franchisees, owners, developers, architects, contractors, engineers, interior designers and everyone else involved in the design, construction, maintenance and upkeep of a Scandic hotel to understand what the Scandic brand means and how it is realised through the design, specification and construction of our hotels.

The contents of this Design Guide are the culmination of many years' experience not only of creating and managing hotel properties but continuing research and development into the requirements of Scandic' s guests, so that they enjoy their stay and will choose Scandic ahead of all others in our sector.

Building a Scandic hotel outlines the operational philosophy, physical space and accommodation standards for a 149 bedroom mid-scale ‘Scandic’ Hotel. The intent is that this section is used to develop the initial design proposals for review and 'in principle' approval by Scandic Hotels.

Design specifications are for a Scandic hotel which is intended as a mid-market, full-service hotel with a refreshingly new design approach that incorporates many innovative ideas from Scandinavia in order to offer easy and accessible travel and hospitality for all.

This set of documents and drawings is designed to guide franchisees / developers / architects/ engineers / designers and contractors towards the successful construction and fit out of a new build Scandic hotel.

Room data is the section which contains individual room datasheets and FFE specifications.

Brand standards describes the design icons and how they are used to reinforce the Scandic brand.

Drawings is a library of conceptual and technical drawings which can be accessed directly from the library and from relevant sections of the Scandic Design Guide.
